Going with My Gut: How Intuition Healed My Body—and My Life

“My deepest desire is to feel whole, and my body can be my guide if I surrender and allow it to lead the way. Listening to my fears, my difficult emotions, the whispers of my body… these aren't always easy tasks.

But these signals from my body are my teachers. I can witness these continuously changing signs, become curious, and not be shackled by them anymore. When I do that, they move quietly and gently through me, leaving me with just the right amount of insight. These signals ask for my full attention—often demand it—so they can show me the way home. Home to the fullest expression of myself. When I find that sacred space, I see the wholeness waiting there patiently for my return.

I have had many other teachers on this journey. One of them, a speaking coach I worked with to help me find my voice on stage again, listened with compassion as I told her the story of my healing journey. Her eyes lit up, and she recited from memory a poem from 13th century Persian mystic, Rumi. His words speak beautifully about the way life happens over and over again in our quest for wholeness.”
